Job Stories From Tolland County, CT
Hebron, CT Roofing Replacement Project

A home owner was looking for some protection for his roof from ice and water damage to his 2 floor colonial home. He contacted Chris Gonzalves to discuss what Millstream Construction can offer in roof protection. The team installed new Drip and Rake edge around the entire home. We've also put in ice and water under-layment on the whole roofing surface to protect against water infiltration. We finished with new Owens Corning Tru-Definition Architectural 35 year Shingles. He was very pleased with the results and thanked us for a great job.

Bolton, CT - Roof Repair

A home in Bolton, CT required new shingles to replace some old, weathered shingles. The home had a beautiful gambrel style roof with a steep slope so we needed to ensure the shingles were properly sealed. The steepness of the slope also had us exercise extra caution on the safety of our trained roof specialists.

We installed the new Owens Corning Storm Cloud shingles to conform to Owens Cornings strict standards to insure quality control for Platinum Preferred Contractors.

Stafford Springs, CT - Three Tab Shingle Roof Replacement

A garage in Stafford Springs was having serious problems with old brittled three tab shingles coming off the roof. After our HAAG trained and certified inspectors assessed the roof system and calculated the repair versus replace cost, they suggested an entirely new roof system. We are happy to say that there are now brand new Owens Corning Onyx Black shingles on the roof that will last a lifetime.

Amston, CT - No Roof Protection

The customer in this project was surprised to learn that his roof didn't have a 6' of ice and water barrier from the eave. A contractor who worked on his home never placed it. Without this barrier the home would have no protection if wind driven rain or ice damming were to get through the shingles the underlayment. Our team installed a new roof system with the underlayment included and the homeowner relieved the home has the protection it needs.

Ellington, CT - Damage From Lichen and Algae Growth

In Ellington, CT a home was having trouble with lichen and algae growth. The homeowners made the decision to have the roof power washed. The unfortunate side effect of the wash was the damaging of the shingles. The owners contacted Millstream to find out what can be done in this situation. The best bet to prevent plant growth and protect the home is by using a shingle with an algae and stain resistance warranty. Our team replaced the shingles with the suggested shingles and the home is now protected for years to come.

Re-Roof Project Leads to Four Layer Surprise on Coventry, CT Home

These owners of this home in Coventry Connecticut were ready to get a home makeover with a new roof and siding. Little did they know how much was really on their roof.

After careful inspection we found out that there were a total of four layers of materials on the roof! Two layers of shingles, a layer of fiberboard and another lawyer of shingles!

After a long day removing all the existing materials and replacing all the damaged decking on the roof we put on a brand new Owens Corning roofing system to protect the home from the elements and restore the beauty of the home.
